Mordechai is THE driving force behind the designer experience and design tooling at Lyft, and his commitment to excellence is evident in every project he undertakes. His ownership on initiatives like the Listening Tour, Dev Mode Pilot Program, and our Driver Partnership has been impressive; he navigates ambiguity with ease and a relentless, contagious positivity.

His recent work redesigning all of Lyft's app icon designs also exemplified this commitment, as he went above and beyond to push for the right approach, aligning design systems, Driver team partners, and brand marketing — a testament to his ability to unite teams for impactful outcomes.

Mordechai also excels in his internal and external speaking commitments, championing both the Lyft brand and Design+ culture in ways that elevate our work.

Thoughtfulness, adaptability, and lightheartedness: qualities Mordechai demonstrated to me are pivotal in building product when I worked with him at Output, a music technology company.

Mordechai's determination to continually drive to the why behind user needs, to diverge on problems openly and converge on solutions decisively, and to collaborate closely with us every step of the way, brought certainty to his team working in the complex, uncertain landscape that is music technology. A listener at heart, Mordechai would continually work to not only hear the team's point-of-view when gathering design feedback but to also fully ingest, study, and incorporate it into increasingly thoughtful designs across multiple product surface areas.

When working with Mordechai, I always had a funny feeling he was thinking of ways to make my life easier as a developer. Whether it be considering development effort when producing designs, finding new tools to aid in handoff, contributing source code, or delivering a well placed pun during hard times, I always felt Mordechai was there for me. He's the positive, supportive spirit we all wish for and need on our teams.

I had the pleasure of working with Mordechai for over a year and a half and I would be happy to have him on my team again any time!

Mordechai is a thoughtful, considerate, humble, and incredibly talented designer. Not only does he take feedback with grace but he acts quickly on it and is able to work it into new solutions. Mordechai is always willing and eager to learn and try new things, making him a very adaptable designer.

The icing on the cake is Mordechai's incredible attention to detail. His visual design and motion skills are superb, and he's able to apply his product thinking to his work in craft, making him a very versatile designer.
